    Description: This
    1925 Vintage Jell-O booklet has menus, recipes, and lovely pictures. What is interesting about this booklet is on the first page is a list of the carbohydrates and proteins. It says: "Under the heading "Estimates of Food Values," in practical dietertics, by Miss Alida Frances Pattee the following analysis of Jell-O," and then it lists the
    ingredients and their values. The booklet has many menus with darling pictures. The first menu is called "The Wedding Present" with a sweet picture of a boy putting a present on a table. Then the menu is listed. "Luncheon", Cream of Corn Soup with Popped Corn, Lamb Chops Panbroiled, Cubes of Mint Jell-O, Mashed Potato, Green Peas, Luncheon Rolls, Asparagus Salad, Roman Sponge, Lady Fingers, Coffee, Salted Nuts, Chocolates.' Then it show you some Alternate Suggestions - Imperial Salad and Paradise Pudding. There are 18 pages of recipes and menus. Another menu on page 7 says" At Grandmother's - The Jell-O hour" with a darling picture of a child in grandpa's lap reaching for the Jell-O grandma is holding. What a teasure for anyone who loves to cook.
