Description
This is a beautiful, original red-brown uncirculated, 1947, Utrecht mint,
“Two and a Half Cents”
from the Dutch or Netherlands
“Territory of Curaçao”,
an Island in the Caribbean Sea.
Curaçao is a Lesser Antilles island country in the Dutch Caribbean region, about 40 miles north of the Venezuelan coast. It is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. During World War II when the Netherlands was occupied by Germany, United States soldiers guarded Curaçao because it was producing 60% of the oil the Allies were using.
Weight: 4.61 Grams, 23.4 Millimeters, Bronze. Mintage: 500,000.
