    If your compressor is not warm, cooling or not turning on and making a clicking noise. Than you have a problem on the electrical side of compressor - not refrigerant side. 60% of the time the relay, overload & start capacitor go bad.
    If the overload is burnt more than likely there is an internal short in compressor and will trip a breaker. Then the compressor will need to be replaced.
