Illustrations in this address book were reproduced from the Huntington Library’s Double Elephant
Folio of The Birds of America, one of about 175 complete copies published between 1826 and
1838 under John James Audubon’s personal supervision.
Sections are divided by alphabetical tabs: A - D; EF; G-H; IJ; K - P; QR; S-T; UV; W; XYZ.
Each tab has at least 24 entries for information (6 entries per page);
Each entry has lined spaces for Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Other, Other, and Birthday.
An Audubon bird illustration is at the beginning of each section.
Text with each bird is from Audubon’s 1826 journal.
Each bird is captioned with the current vernacular name followed in brackets with
Audubon’s identification when it differs, and then followed by the current classification by order, family, and species.
It's been on my bookshelf.
Pages clean- no entries, marks, underlining, writing, highlighting, tears or smudges
Printing is not faded; All color illustrations have not faded
Address pages do show slight yellowing from age.
Spine is straight; no creases; Spiral binding is intact & complete- all pages attached
Corners not bumped except the bottom of the spine’s hardcover is bent-in from sitting on shelf.
No remainder marks / stickers
