    I built my first Bal-Chatri noose trap over 50 years ago. In the decades since, I've lost track of the number of traps made and the hawks I caught with them. This triangular design has proven itself in the field catching Red Tails, Cooper's Hawks and American Kestrels. When trapping raptors larger than the Kestrel always add some type of drag line with extra weight.
