Extremely rare original 1963 complete 18" x 27" UK cardboard tri-fold counter-top display.
This promotional store display was issued in August 1963, long before The Beatles were famous in the USA. Since it features no specific Beatles records, it is assumed that it was meant to be used for a longer amount of time than it would if it listed a slogan such as "Latest LP" or similar. When this was issued, "She Loves You" was the latest single and the group only had one LP ("Please Please Me") and one EP ("Twist & Shout") released so far.
Fantastic looking display with day-glo colors and great wording along with the famous Dezo Hoffman portrait. Only one other complete one is known to exist. Most have the right panel cut off, but this one still has it intact. Minor restoration on John's face, which had a small tear and some writing. Some foxing is still visible, but most has been professionally cleaned. Small creases and balding along edges, corners and at seams, but overall this is in really nice shape. Three tape removal scuffs on back and one of the panels has some foxing and stains (not visible on front).
