Duro Art Supply Vintage Store Display With 90 paint brushes.
Many of the brushes are marked "red sable", and "made in W. Germany" so they must have been produced before the fall of the Berlin wall (1989).
The display itself seems to be in very good condition with no visible rust, and a small bend in the sheet metal on the underside, as well as on one side.
There are some scratches, and the decal on the glass is missing the brush tips (see pics), but the decal on the bottom seems to be in really nice shape (except for a couple of scratches). There is a chip in the corner of the glass.
The original rubber pads are still on the bottom to keep it from scratching the display shelf, and it opens and closes well, with a little metal hook to hold the top closed.
This was purchased by me from Petrosky's Pro Hardware store in Latrobe, PA when it went out of business in early 2019.
I have left all the original hardware store stickers, and prices.
I can't date the display, but if I had to guess, I'd say 1950's or early 60's.
Please give this fine piece of American history a new loving home.
