A back story first.
Several years ago we purchased 1000's of Artist Brushes from a now defunct
manufacturer of Artist Canvas who in the late 70's imported brushes from Germany.
Included were hog hair oil painting brushes & red sable watercolor brushes.
These were manufactured by one of Germany's leading brush companies.
The red sables were high end quality comparable with other European Brands.
The brush we're offering is stamped red sable.
The red hairs are very soft and as you can see point perfectly when loaded,in this case with water.
The length from handle tip to hair tip is 9 1/2",uniqely large.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a brand new vintage brush worth many times our selling price.
The hairs separate evenly when used for washes & applying color,this is a "Full Bellied" brush with tremendous loading capacity. Only a few to sell.
