Grant Hoffman Souvenir Building, Boston (Dupliform)

Description

For sale is a rare souvenir building replica of the Grant Hoffman Building in Boston.
The property at 745 Boylston Street in Boston (just blocks from the finish line of the Boston Marathon) was redeveloped and re-opened as an office building in 1988.
The developers arranged with Dupliform Castings to create this cold cast bronze model of the building.
It was used as a promotional-advertising piece to give to various partners in the project and was not intended for sale to the general public.
Dupliform castings are much sought after by collectors, in no small part because they are often the only replicas of the buildings they represent in miniature.
It measures 4 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" deep x 3 1/2" in height and retains its original brown felt protective pad and Dupliform sticker on the bottom.
I would note that the rear "ledge" or "railing" at the top shows a gap in the middle and so may be the way it was intended or the result of a casting flaw or break.
