Kestrel 3000 Pocket Weather Meter
The Kestrel 3000 Pocket Wind Meter is a highly accurate hand-held weather meter, designed to measure current wind speed, average wind speed, maximum wind gust, wind chill, relative humidity, dewpoint, heat stress index, and the temperature of air, water, and snow.
While providing accurate measurements for weather prediction, the Kestrel 3000 is particularly useful for measuring relative humidity - featuring twice-patented humidity sensors. From the relative humidity readings, it also calculates the dewpoint and heat stress index, essential information when evaluating the safety of weather conditions during particularly strenuous outdoor activities.
This meter is ideal for anyone engaged in an outdoor activity, who does not want to be caught off-guard by poor weather conditions. Wild land firefighters and sports trainers frequently use it. Designed to be portable and easy-to-use, the Kestrel 3000 features an external temperature sensor, a large, backlit display, a protective cover, a user-replaceable impeller; in addition, it is waterproof and buoyant!
