Neat old Miller beer sign. Measures approx. 20" wide x 16" high x 4" deep. Constructed of a metal back plate with hard plastic front. Illuminated by a small fluorescent tube with starter and transformer and works well. It takes a few seconds to ignite when first turned on, which is normal for the older fluorescent fixtures. There is an in line thumbwheel type switch to turn on or off. When turned on, the light comes on and a small electric motor moves a mechanism that makes the beer glass appear and the bottle turn as if it was pouring a cold Miller. Too cool! The motor starts right up and the mechanisms all run smoothly and quietly. I lubricated the sliding mechanism with some lithium grease to keep it running smoothly. The item is in nice vintage condition and displays very nicely but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina. There is a small crack to the back left top corner of the plastic frame. The bottle looks as if it was reattached to the mechanism some time in the past. Appears solid and works well. The label on the bottle was added, which in my opinion makes it look much nicer than just the original plain bottle. There are some scuffs and staining etc to the hard plastic frame. I'm not trying to degrade the item as it is in nice condition for the age, and I would think you would have to look long and hard to find a nicer example, just trying to be thorough. Clean and ready to display and enjoy and wait for the compliments to roll in!
