    Description

For sale is a really rare, vintage souvenir building replica of the National City Bank of Evansville, Indiana. Classic architecture!
Compare # 1015 in Monumental Miniatures which dates it to the 1930s, making it one of Banthrico's oldest banks.
**Note -- it may have been cast by the Chicago Thrift Company.
Unlike those that Banthrico later made of pot metal, this one is made of lead and in terms of craftsmanship, weight, and meticulous detail is every bit the equal of those made by Rehberger, Art Metal Works, American Art Works, or K&O.
MM gives it its highest rating in rarity, a V with a value of 5/6 -- most unusual for a Banthrico [0-00].
The bank is in VG to Excellent used condition, with wear consistent with age and use.
I would note a very slight ding, more a slight depression on the underside (light gray area) next to the opening where the trap is missing. It's really hardly noticeable and only evident to the touch, but I mention it for the sake of complete disclosure.
    The bank measures: 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" and is also quite heavy, weighing a bit over 1 lb.
Please look carefully at all of the photos as they form an essential part of the description and feel free to ask any questions before bidding.
Shipping includes insurance and signature tracking (to minimize the
    possibility
    of loss to 'porch pirates').
