NEW MOTOROLA APX6000 BN M3 COLOUR DISPLAY ASSEMBLY inc FREE TRACKED SHIPPINGPart number:

Please note that this display
does not include the adhesive foam strip around the edge of the display
which fixes the display into place. This means you will have to either re-use your existing foam or manufacture something yourself from adhesive foam. If you are not able to do this I would point you towards a
PMLN7530A display, which is one of these
DM000094A01 displays with the foam fitted but is almost double the price at 0. I have included two pictures of the PMLN7530A at for comparison purposes.
While this display is only listed in the APX6000 BN manuals, I am told by customers that it works satisfactorily in APX6000 AN and APX8000.
If you are unsure about part numbers, blame Motorola who's manuals create utter confusion. The following section in blue is my researches to date, make your own judgement and if you know anything more definitive, please let me know.
I am clear that the M2 and M3
AN versions
of
APX6000
both use PNHN7020_ displays - originally a NHN7020AS, which then got a P for price increase prefix to PNHN7020AS and recently changed to PNHN7020BS (which I cannot get). That was all nice and simple
The manual I have for the
BN version
of the
APX6000
is publication MN002929A01-AC dated February 2018 and as you'll see it applies a certain amount of confusion
Model chart tables 7-18 show all M2 and M3 versions of both APX6000 and APX6000XE using display PMLN7530A
When you get to the exploded diagrams/parts lists, it's a different story
Table 51 shows APX6000 M3 display is DM000094A01
Table 52 shows APX6000 M2 display is NHN7020_
Table 54 shows APX6000XE M3 display is NHN7020_
Table 55 doesn't offer any opinion on the APX6000XE M2 display
So it would seem to me that this APX6000 BN manual is somewhat contradictory to be polite with three different displays mentioned.
The latest manual I have for
the
APX8000
is publication MN001622A01-AE dated November 2018 and throughout it refers to the display as being NHN7020_
Let's put to one side that the NHN7020_ changed to a PNHN7020_ in early 2017, which merely suggests that the manual is behind the times and not outright wrong. Are we to believe that the 8000's are perhaps using a different display to many of the 6000's? Seems a little implausible but who knows with Motorola.
More pertinently though, what display is used on the APX6000 BN? The last two photos show my last PNHN7020AS beside a
DM000094A01.
I haven't yet bought a PMLN7530A which is a fair bit more expensive than the
DM000094A01 and I am unable to get the current PNHN7020BS displays.
Can anybody shed a bit of light on what is going on with 6000BN displays or maybe confirm my suspicion that Motorola have merely stuck three different part numbers on the same part just for a laugh?
I haven't extended this discussion to the
SRX2200
, as the latest manuals for that radio are riddled with errors (eg. part numbers for black plastics given for a brown radio)
These are brand new, straight from bigM Europe, 100% genuine APX parts and definitely not cheapo Chinese knock-off's. I'm an honest seller, just check my feedback over the past 13 years. I shall be listing more XTS and APX parts shortly where the European pricing and strong Dollar allow me to be competitive.
I can get larger quantities if required - contact me for lead times and discounts for large quantities etc.
Check my other listings for APX
knobs
and housings; I am trying a few items to see what demand is is out there.
If there are any other obscure parts you think I might be able to source, just let me have a part number and I will check for you
