Contacts & Jaw Position:
15 Amp contact is designed to receive 16, 18 and 20 gauge wire.
30 Amp contact is designed to receive 12, 14 gauge wire.
45 Amp contact is designed to receive 10 gauge wire.
Die markings correspond to contact sizes. The 15 amp contact goes into the 15 amp position, the 30 amp into the 30 position, and 45 amp into the 45 position.
These are full ratcheting crimpers ensuring a exact crimp every time. After inserting the contact and Ratcheting to the first position the connector is held in place so you can easily insert the wire and finish crimping.
