Star Firestar 9mm/.40S&W ONLY Checkered w/Text+Logo French Walnut Pistol Grips

We have here a few nice sets of fine walnut grips for the Star "Firestar" model M-43 in 9mm or M40 in .40S&W caliber; these do NOT fit the .45acp Firestar, the "Firestar Plus", Star BM, BKM, PD or any other Star models (see our other listings for those).  The model of the Firestar pistol is usually found on the slide (older models have the model stamped on the heel of the gun's grip frame).  The Firestar Plus grips use a different attachment method, and these do not fit the Firestar Plus.
These are French walnut grips, similar to many of our other fine grips.  The Firestar pistol departs from the appearance of the 1911 commonly found on Star's other models (specifically the one- and two-letter model designations), so these are appropriate for those who wish to enhance their Firestar to a level beyond that of the 1911-style guns and the plastic grips so often found on Star pistols.  The grips are not varnished but are hand-oiled to preserve them and enhance their protection.
This version is checkered similar to the standard grip, with the Star logo and "Firestar" text in a stylized center location on each grip panel, with a border around it.
We've found these are much nicer to hold than the original plastic grips on the Firestar, and they help accuracy as the shooter can more easily maintain a secure hold on the gun.
If you're not sure of what model Star you own, contact us for help.  The same grip set is shown in all the photos; some photos were taken with ambient room light and others with flash to show how the lighting affects the appearance of the color of each grip set, making them appear redder.  These grips are not stained in any way, so what you see is the natural walnut wood.  The grips can be oiled with a fine linseed or tung oil but are uncoated to allow the natural wood's grain and color to be visible.
Those shown are examples of what we have and you will receive a set of equal quality and similar color and grain characteristics, as natural wood varies in its exact shade, grain and other characteristics.  The last photos show a set of these grips mounted on a blued Firestar pistol.  NOTE to EBAY: The pistol is not being sold in this listing but is used as a prop to show the wood grips being sold.

These were made on CNC equipment, so t
he fit is precise, and when properly installed and fitted to your specific gun, these grips will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm.  There are no medallions or other things that weren't there to begin with; just simple, good-looking grips for a classic pistol that seems to be gaining in popularity.
The grips do not include any grip screws, so if you need screws you can check our other listings as we sometimes have various screws available.
These are ONLY for the model(s)/series specified above, and are not sold or intended to fit any other Star model.  It is up to you to be sure these are appropriate for your gun.  If you're not sure, ASK!  Know your gun's model, as we may require such info to help you.
