The Write Thing #10 Beatles Fanzine May 1975 Newsletter Paul McCartney John Hari

(Be sure to check out all 13 pictures of the item in this auction) This auction is for issue #10 of The Write Thing by Barb Fenick from May/June 1975. Early issues of this great fanzine are hard-to-find. (The newsletter mentions that they have nearly 350 members, so most likely LESS than 400 issues of this were printed back in 1975. The newsletter measures 8-1/2" x 14" and is stapled together in the upper left hand corner and then folded in half for mailing. The last page would be blank on the back except for the address label of the subscriber and postage stamps with a postmark. This issue has 29 pages. Most of the issues had a full page photo cover, but this one doesn't (though there is a full page photo page of Paul McCartney inside) Some of the contents in this issue include: On the intro page there is mention of a planned second Joe Pope Strawberry Fields Forever Beatles convention in Boston in July; a Meet the Fans page; a few paragraphs on John Lennon going to Philly to help with WFIL radio Helping Hand Marathon; Lennon discussing Rock n Roll from Melody Maker; several Paul candids; a 9 page article "Paul McCartney - The Complexities and the Contradictions; two articles In Defense of Hari/George; an interview with Ringo from the New Musical Express; a 2-1/2 page article about Paul and Linda; and more. The newsletter is in good, used condition - it is folded, as issued - there is another light horizontal crease from being folded in half again - it was folded in half for mailing and held together by four pieces of tape on the front going to the back so there is tape/tape marks on the outer page and stamps and cancellation marks - the back of the mailing cover has a small (1" x 1/4") piece gone next to the tape - there are some other wrinkles, small creases, light wear and edge wear.
