! Neon Beer Sign 1988
The Miller Genuine Draft and PIZZA! Neon Beer Sign is in very good shape and lights up nicely.
The “Miller” and “PIZZA!” lettering lights up in a very nice yellow. The “Genuine Draft” lettering lights up in a very nice white. The “and” lettering and line below the PIZZA! lettering light up in a very nice red.
Some of the yellow neon is lighter or darker in spots; The white and red neon look pretty consistent in their brightness.
There is a slight hum when the sign is lit.
The metal framing bars are in good shape, but some have some rusting to them. The rust is mostly the lower framing bars. Some of the screws attached to the framing bars have some rust as well. One of the plastic pieces that holds the neon tubing and screws into the framing bar is broken and no longer attached. There is a small section of chain attached to the top of the framing bars that can be used for hanging the sign. It measures about 12 inches.
The transformer has a Franceformer metal tag on the side of it with a serial number of 07 88. Based on this, we believe this sign is from 1988. There is also a blue Underwriters Laboratories sticker on the top of the transformer.
There is a pull chain on the left side of the transformer that will turn the sign on and off. We tested it a few times and it is working fine.
The power cord looks to be about 5 Feet long and in good shape. The plug looks to be in in good shape.
The Sign measures about 35 inches across (the length of the longest horizontal framing bar). The Sign measures about 20.75 inches high (Bottom to Top of vertical metal framing bars). The sign is about 6.5 Inches Deep (From the back of the transformer to the front tips of the metal framing bars).
We
are listing this as Local Pickup only at this time. The sign is currently stored at another location, so we would need a day or so to retrieve it.
We would also be available to meet for pickup at a mutually agreed upon location/date/time within a One-Hour or so drive of the 08243 Area Code. We would also be willing to travel a greater distance but would need some to ask for some reimbursement for gas and tolls. Please contact us if you would like to discuss either of those possibilities.
*We will also be traveling to Florida sometime over the 2023 winter. We do not know our exact dates and locations yet, but we could possibly work out a meeting date/time/place if are located near I-95 corridor from Delaware to Florida. We will also be at several locations in Florida so we may be able to work out a meeting date/time/place there as well. Please contact us if you would like to discuss either of those possibilities.
