Vintage Miller High Life The Champagne of Bottle Beer Light Up Bar Sign 1980s
Pre-owned and used. Received from a neighbor along with several others that came from out of his bar. This is the last to post. The original plug-in cord was cut in two. The actual plug half was missing. I got another cord to replace it only to realize that it would have to be cut and spliced or taken apart and reassembled for installation because neither end accesses the unit holes. I photographed the cord exiting the unit through the side of the sign which is a temporary solution to show that it lights up. There is a corner piece of the silver skirt below the red center piece that got broken off and had a crack. The piece is long gone but I superglued the crack. See photo. It's not a noticeable thing unless looking for it. There is also a small chip on the top side of silver skirt, but no photo. hardly a thing. On the backside, someone was scratching the plastic for whatever reason. This does not affect the front appearance or operation. Please see photos for visual description.
The sign dimensions are 11" x 16" with a 4" projection. It is plastic. There are two screws with nuts on the backside for access to the light housing. The 5 watt bulb is included.
I am leaving the splicing of the cord up to the buyer if you want it to exit the backside.
Another mention, for some reason this does not show up in any of the photos; there is what appears to be glue on the upper left corner of the red center part as if it may have been glued back together. Odd that it does not show up. This was not part of my gluing process. I have cleaned the sign in soap and water. All the signs were dirty, probably just as they came out of the bar. The folks that I got my signs from are in their early 80's, nice people.
If you are looking for a perfect sign, it is not perfect, but it looks good to me. There are scratches on the plastic throughout condusive with age and use. The sign is approximately 40 years old and just needs to be loved again.
