    Description

This auction is for an original XEAK radio Top 40 music survey dated August 25, 1958. XEAK had offices in San Diego and Los Angeles, but carried a 50,000 watt signal the covered much of California. This was the first station to produce a Top 40 survey beginning under the original call letters of XEAC in 1957. This was the original XEAK design to be followed by three other designs.
The list is led by Nel Blu Dipino Di Blu by Domenico Modugno, that would later be covered by many artists under the title of 'Volare'.  The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Frankie Avalon, Ricky Nelson, Pat Boone, Connie Frances, Bobby Darin, and Johnny Mathis also had hits on this list. Peggy Lee's Fever was also on the list.
An ad for Frederick's of Hollywood appears at the bottom. The list measures 8 1/2 X 11.
There are no creases, writing, stains, or tears on the survey.
